AR Shelving obtains ISO 50001 certification at its Galdakao plant and strengthens its commitment to energy sustainability

At AR Shelving, we have reached a new milestone in our energy efficiency strategy: the Galdakao plant has obtained the UNE-EN ISO 50001:2018 certification after successfully passing the external audit of our energy management system.

This international standard provides a recognized framework for integrating energy efficiency into all organizational processes, with the goal of achieving continuous improvement in energy use, reducing emissions, and optimizing resources.

It requires identifying, measuring, and monitoring energy consumption, defining key performance indicators, setting reduction targets, and planning actions to achieve sustainable improvements over time.

In our case, the system implemented in Galdakao includes a comprehensive energy diagnosis, initial improvement measures, and structured tools for monitoring energy performance. All of this allows us to advance in sustainability, reduce costs, and meet our clients’ environmental requirements.

The ISO 50001 certification is much more than a formal recognition. It is a guarantee that our processes are aligned with international best practices and reflects our ongoing commitment to energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and transparency.

Furthermore, 100% of the electricity consumed at our Galdakao plant is certified as renewable and sustainably sourced, further reinforcing our environmental commitment.
